Detail Manager

The Detail Manager effectively communicates with customers and employees to determine the type of service necessary, and time needed for completion. The detail manager is responsible for quality control and output of the detailing and wash department. They also manage all necessary product inventory and equipment needed to perform the required duties.

Responsibilities and Duties (include but are not limited to)

• Ensures a safe and clean work environment is maintained.


• Manage all aspects of the detail department. Including teaching employees on workflow, controlling supplies, detailing, buffing, waxing vehicles.


• Perform all aspects of vehicle detailing - this is a “working manager” position.


• Works with the Service Manager on employee schedules.


• Supervise and control quality of work produced and work efficiency.


• Informs Service Manager of employees who are not performing to our standards of performance or conduct.


• Informs Service and/or Parts Manager when inventoried supplies need to be reordered.


• Opening and closing down of the detail shop.


• Ensures all detailing tools and equipment is maintained in good condition.


• Trains new employees on processes and procedures.


• Assists to ensure work is completed in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

• 1 or more years of management and detailing experience preferred


• High level of professionalism and attention to detail


• Valid Driver’s License


• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, maintain a positive attitude, and have excellent communication skills


• Availability to work weekends
