Overview:

The Detailer is responsible for cleaning and enhancing the appearance of recreational vehicles (RVs) to ensure they are showroom-ready and meet quality standards. This role includes both interior and exterior detailing, applying decals, and performing light cosmetic repairs to increase unit value and customer satisfaction.

Exterior & Interior Cleaning

• Wash and detail RVs inside and out, including compartments, kitchens, bathrooms, and windows.
• Clean and shine wheels, tires, and exteriors to present a polished, retail-ready finish.
• Perform final detail checks before delivery or display to ensure presentation standards are met.

Cosmetic Repairs & Enhancements

• Remove and reapply decals, stickers, and sealants as needed.
• Apply company decals (e.g., Fun Town RV) according to location specifications.
• Perform minor cosmetic repairs including molding, fender skirts, and other exterior trim.
• Paint frames, hitches, steps, and jacks as needed to maintain a clean appearance.

Lot Readiness & Documentation

• Update service boards or lot inventory records upon job completion.
• Ensure each unit is ready for photos, display, or delivery based on dealership requirements.

Safety & Process Compliance

• Adhere to all safety standards while using cleaning chemicals, tools, and ladders.
• Maintain work area cleanliness and follow shop protocols for efficiency.

Team Support

• Collaborate with service and sales teams to prioritize units for detailing.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support dealership operations.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Previous experience in detailing, maintenance, or cosmetic RV/automotive work preferred.
• Basic mechanical or shop skills are a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.

Physical Requirements: 

• Must be able to lift 10–50 lbs occasionally.
• Must be able to stand, walk, climb ladders and stairs for extended periods.
• Must be able to work in a variety of environmental conditions (heat, cold, wind, etc.).
