Summary

The Exhibit Drafter creates construction and installation drawings of exhibit elements as well as generate tradeshow drawing packages using Inventor.  This position works under the direction of the Regional CAD Manager and/or Project Managers.


 


This position will support our Sparks team.  It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office and/or show-site 3 days per week.  This position is based out of Grand Prairie, TX.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities


  • Produce construction drawings for the production department staff in accordance with the Detailing Department Standards under the direction of the Regional CAD Manager.

  • Produce tradeshow drawing packages for project directors, project managers and installers in accordance with the Detailing Department Standards.

  • Learn and apply Fabrication Standards.

  • Learn new technologies and systems as required.

  • Inform supervisor and/or Project Manager of any impediments that impact project schedule.

  • Update the departmental job log to describe progress of current projects.

  • Interact with design and production staff in a professional manner.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience


  • College AS Degree: CAD or Drafting/Design.

  • Three (3) years previous experience with Inventor, SolidWorks, or similar assembly-based CAD software.

  • Some experience with AutoCAD preferred.

  • Must have experience with assembly-based 3D CAD program (Inventor, SolidWorks, NX, Bematrix, etc.).

  • Ability to organize all facets of detailing.

  • Ability to produce accurate well laid out drawings.

  • Proficient in Google Drive and Microsoft Office.

  • Strong attention to detail, a positive attitude, and a team player.

  • Ability to operate within a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
