Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Developer L3 to join our team at Wipro Technologies-USA, specifically within the Wipro Engineering unit focusing on Connectivity. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of a critical telecommunications operations platform that supports essential network services. You will work with a well-established, mature codebase using advanced technologies including PHP, Laravel, Vue.js, and TypeScript, ensuring robust performance and operational stability.

This position requires not only technical proficiency but also a deep understanding of telecommunications domain knowledge to translate complex operational requirements into effective software solutions. The successful candidate will take pride in collaborating closely with cross-functional teams such as product owners, quality assurance specialists, and telecommunications experts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain new and existing features of an enterprise-grade telecommunications operations platform.


• Collaborate on architectural planning, technical debt reduction, and application modernization initiatives.


• Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to application performance, data workflows, and production environments.


• Leverage GitLab workflows for source control management, including code reviews and release management.


• Ensure backward compatibility and operational resilience while evolving the software.


• Support production deployments and troubleshoot live system issues promptly to minimize downtime.


• Utilize AI-assisted development tools responsibly to enhance coding, testing, and documentation efficiency.


• Create and maintain high-quality automated tests and comprehensive technical documentation.

Technologies & Tools

The role focuses on PHP and Laravel for backend services, while leveraging Vue.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS to build dynamic and responsive user interfaces. The candidate should be proficient in modern frontend and backend development technologies and experienced with containerization and CI/CD practices is a plus.

Areas of Responsibility

The Developer L3 will have a broad scope of responsibilities encompassing the full software development lifecycle. These include:

• Requirements Gathering: Engage with client stakeholders through workshops and interviews to capture detailed business process requirements accurately.


• Solution Design & Development: Architect and implement scalable, maintainable code modules that integrate seamlessly into the larger system environment.


• Configuration Management: Customize and configure platform components in alignment with client-specific needs and system specifications.

Development Lifecycle Engagement

• Coding: Develop high-quality, testable code that meets the requirements specification while ensuring maintainability and scalability.


• Testing: Participate actively in unit, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing to verify that software functions as expected and meets quality standards.


• Trial Runs & Validation: Execute comprehensive trial runs to validate system interactions and performance before production release.


• Implementation Support: Collaborate with the implementation team to deploy software components effectively, ensuring smooth integration and system stability post-deployment.

Documentation & Communication

• Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including code comments, flowcharts, system layouts, and user guides to support ongoing maintenance and knowledge transfer.


• Communicate progress, challenges, and technical details clearly and effectively to stakeholders across various levels of technical proficiency.


• Assist in preparing reports and presentations that outline project statuses, milestones, and deliverables.
