We are seeking a talented and motivated developer to join our team and help us unlock the full potential of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (F&O) and the Power Platform. In this role, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing custom solutions that enhance our financial, operational, and analytical capabilities.

Job Purpose:

A Microsoft D365 Finance & Operations (F&O) and Power Platform developer builds and expands functionalities with Jin the Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations apps and related automation and reporting tools on the Power Platform. This role works closely with the business and Product Owner to understand the needs and translate those requirements into technical solutions using the capabilities of the software. This involves tasks like customizing user experience, integrating data from external systems, and automating processes. Overall, they play a key role in ensuring that the Dynamics 365 and Power Platform meets the specific needs of the organization.

Responsibilities and Associated Duties:

Key Duties:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and product owner to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Design, develop, and deploy extensions, integrations, and customizations for Dynamics 365 F&O using X++, Visual Studio, and other relevant tools.
  • Work closely with the support team to provide timely responses to business requests for technical configuration updates (Electronic Reports, Security Roles, Workflows, Workspaces, Print Management etc.).
  • Configure and manage data integrations between Dynamics 365 F&O and third-party applications (e-commerce, portals, etc.).
  • Provide support to our API and Business Intelligence teams, who need to access.
  • Develop and implement Power Apps, Power Automate flows, and Power BI reports to automate workflows, improve data visualization, and generate insightful dashboards.
  • Conduct unit testing and integration testing to ensure the quality and functionality of developed solutions.
  • Participate in the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC), from requirements gathering to deployment and ongoing support.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Dynamics 365 F&O and the Power Platform.
  • Take the lead in developing the wider IT’s team knowledge on Dynamics 365 F&O and Power Platform Capabilities.

Measures of Success:

  • Measurable improvements in key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with developed solutions (e.g., reduced processing time, increased productivity, improved financial reporting).
  • Positive user feedback on the functionality and usability of developed solutions.
  • Increased revenue or cost savings achieved through process automation and improved data insights.
  • Reduction in support tickets related to issues with custom development.
  • Participation in training and knowledge-sharing sessions to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements.
  • Mentorship of junior developers and contribution to a strong technical team.

Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements:

General:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Software Engineering or related field
  • Relevant work experience of 3+ years in an D365 F&O Developer role
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to articulate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical customers.
  • Strong experience of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Experience with developing in an Agile team.
  • Ability to decipher business requirements and provide technical solutions.
  • Ability to function independently, receiving high-level and/or strategic guidance from IT leadership.

Technical:

  • Proven experience in software development with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
  • Solid experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O (experience with Dynamics 365 Finance and Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management is a plus).
  • Expertise in the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
  • Experience with X++, C#, T-SQL, and SSIS.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
