Development Coordinator - Meals on Wheels

In this role, you’ll coordinate day-to-day fundraising activities, contribute to strategy and goal-setting, track donations and budgets, and build relationships with donors, businesses, and foundations. Essential Duties & Responsibilities-

• Assists in developing and implementing fundraising strategies aligned with the organization's goals and mission.


• Cultivates and maintains relationships with donors, sponsors, and supporters.


• Coordinates the fundraising process and maintains records of receipts and disbursements of funds.


• Prepares regular reports for senior leadership & board of directors.


• Organizes fundraising campaigns and events. Monitors & analyzes fundraising performance against goals.
  Upholds ethical fundraising practices and ensures compliance with relevant laws & regulations.


• Utilizes fundraising software to track donor interactions and manage campaigns.


• Analyzes options for recurring giving platforms & implements to provide MOW with consistent, sustainable annual donors.


• Creates programming and stewardship activities that recognize and steward Meals on Wheels donors.


• Represents Meals on Wheels in the community and builds partnerships.


• Stays informed about emerging technologies and trends in fundraising.


• Researches potential funding sources, applies for grants, and reports on grant activity and outcomes.


• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications-
● 2+ years of professional-level fundraising experience, preferably with a 501(c)(3) organization
● Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, Business Administration or related field
● Strong commitment to ethical fundraising practices and compliance with relevant laws & regulations
● Ability to analyze fundraising data and make data-driven decisions to enhance fundraising strategies
● Ability to think strategically to develop & implement fundraising plans aligned with the overall organizational strategy
● Extensive knowledge of fundraising strategies and principles
● Strong interpersonal skills to cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and other stakeholders
● Experience in planning and executing successful fundraising events & campaigns
● Excellent written & verbal communication skills
● High attention to detail & strong organizational skills
● Strong analytical &problem solving skills
● Proficient in Google Suite.
