JOB SUMMARY
Leads the central operation, planning, and project management of the development department of the organization. Guides campaigns, operates fundraising software applications, and leads departmental meetings to ensure continued progress in fundraising, grant writing, and sponsorships.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
As assigned by the Executive Director, manages all development department work.
Leads departmental meetings and provides a report of activity for the board.
Manages fundraising and grant software applications, updates subscriptions, and ensures readiness for needed events and programs.
Manages employer match, federated giving, and charity rewards platforms.
Utilizes effective communication and interpersonal skills that align with and support the organization’s Mission and Core Values.
Complies with the organization’s by-laws, policies, procedures, and member covenants; seeks clarification and guidance as necessary.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensures that the team’s operational goals and objectives, and performance standards, are met.
Manages workflow within the team; assigns tasks and evaluates direct reports’ work.
Recruits, interviews, selects, and orients/trains staff members and Guild partners.
Provides continuous, timely performance feedback and formal performance reviews.
Supports direct reports’ continuous professional development.
Manages all personnel issues consistent with the organization’s policies and practices.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
Proven team leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Proficiency with electronic spreadsheet and word processing applications.
Experience with project management, business contracts, and crisis management preferred.
EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION
Have participated at least one season with the organization.

Work involves walking, talking, and hearing; using hands to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
The employee may be required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry objects up to 25 pounds.
