Developmental Specialist ABLE I

Our Day Hab program at Crystal Springs, Inc. has a great opportunity for a dependable team member in our ABLE I Day Hab facility. This is a full-time position 37.50 hours per week.  The hours are Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. Since this position is considered full-time you are entitled to full company benefits following 90 days of employment.

The Developmental Specialist  will support this mission as you routinely provide development, support, teaching and evaluation of  individual’s active Habilitative goals/objectives and direct care supports in a manner that promotes development of independent and community integration skills and an improved quality of life.

Responsibilities include:

• Promotes a respectful, dignified and structured Habilitative working environment for all individuals at all times
• Leads the Day Habilitation Aides in upholding and enhancing human rights, dignity and full community integration for all individuals.
• Provides required daily coverage in program as needed and assigned by Director of A.B.L.E. I/II and Director of Adult Services.
• Provides skilled teaching, supports and evaluation of required programmatic services (i.e. Habilitative goals/objectives, community integration/activities, daily living skills)  
• Assists the Day Habilitation Aide interview process
• Ensures plan updates are made to the DHSP
• Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings, pre-admission meetings, discharge meetings or any meeting assigned by Director of ABLE I/II and Director of Adult Services
• Maintains member records, quarterly record audits and ensuring all records are up to date
• Cooperates and participate in internal investigations

Education/Experience Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Associate Degree
• 1 year experience working as a team leader caring for people with intellectual/developmental disabilities

The starting pay rate is $21.00 - $23.00 per hour depending on education and experience.
