Job Description - DHH Specialist Special Educator Needed

Special Education Instructor (DHH Specialty)

We are excited to invite applications for a dedicated and proficient Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher for the upcoming school year. This role, serving as a Hearing Itinerant, will span multiple schools within our district, ensuring students who are deaf or hard of hearing receive the essential support and specialized instruction they need.

Clarifi Staffing Solutions is currently seeking a dedicated Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher to support grade-school students. Our ideal candidate is passionate about empowering deaf and hard of hearing students to reach their full academic potential.

This role involves collaborating with educators, administrators, and families to provide essential support and tailored instruction. Successful candidates will have experience with American Sign Language (ASL), assistive technology, and the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Join our team and play a crucial role in enhancing student success and well-being

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills and hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Deaf Education or Special Education. Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is highly preferred, as is a valid Georgia PEL certification with an endorsement in Deaf and Hard of Hearing. A strong understanding of the IEP process, along with experience in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs, is essential. Additionally, candidates should have prior experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing in a school setting.
