Job Description - Diagnostic Radiologic Technician

As a Diagnostic Radiologic Technician at Talent Consultants, you will be a crucial part of the healthcare team, providing essential imaging services that support the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Leveraging advanced radiologic technology, you will perform various procedures while prioritizing patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays and CT scans, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the process.
  • Prepare and position patients effectively for imaging, explaining the procedure to reduce anxiety and ensure cooperation.
  • Operate radiographic equipment correctly according to established protocols to produce high-quality images.
  • Document patient information and imaging results accurately to maintain compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols, minimizing radiation exposure to patients and self.
  • Assist in the verification and maintenance of imaging equipment to ensure reliability and accuracy.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians and other medical staff regarding imaging results, following up as needed for additional views or information.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with radiologic technology advancements and changes in procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
  • at least 24 months completion of full time training post-high school diagnostic radiologic technology program
  • Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiography.
  • Active state-issued radiologic technologist license required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare team members effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with different imaging modalities, such as CT, MRI, and ultrasound, is advantageous.
  • Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and evenings, as needed.
