Job Description - Diagnostic Radiologist

Description

Location: The Portland Clinic - Portland Metro Area, Oregon

Type: Full-Time | Outpatient Focused | Physician-Led | Independent Multi-Specialty Group

About The Portland Clinic

Founded in 1921, The Portland Clinic is Oregon’s oldest private multi-specialty medical group. With six locations across the Portland metro area, we serve over 90,000 patients annually with a mission-driven, community-based approach to care. Our commitment is simple: Be trustworthy, kind and considerate. Treat everyone like family and build relationships that last.

We remain proudly physician-owned and governed, providing a practice environment that fosters autonomy, collegiality, and purpose-driven care. TPC is not part of a large corporate system; our legacy is 100% Portland, and our focus is 100% on our patients.

Living in Portland - Highlights for Physicians and Families

Portland offers an ideal lifestyle with easy access to hiking, rivers, beaches, and parks, alongside vibrant arts, dining, and music scenes.

Enjoy excellent schools, safe neighborhoods, no sales tax, and a lower cost of living than many major West Coast cities.

Serve a proactive, health-literate patient population that values preventive care and long-term physician relationships in a city consistently ranked among the nation’s most wellness-focused communities.

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate, collaborative, board-certified or board-eligible Radiologist to join our growing multi-specialty team in a fully outpatient-focused environment. This role offers the opportunity to practice broad-spectrum diagnostic radiology with strong support from referring primary care and specialty physicians across the organization.

The ideal candidate will interpret a wide range of imaging studies, including X-ray, ultrasound, CT, MRI, and women’s imaging, based on training and interest. Subspecialty fellowship training is welcomed but not required. If you're looking for a collegial, physician-led environment with a predictable schedule and partnership opportunity, you'll thrive here.

This position offers access to modern imaging technology, an established referral base, and a collaborative culture focused on quality, efficiency, and patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpreted diagnostic imaging studies, including X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and other modalities based on expertise and departmental needs
  • Collaborate closely with primary care physicians and specialists to support coordinated patient care
  • Participate in quality assurance, peer review, and imaging protocol optimization initiatives
  • Provide timely and accurate imaging reports in a high-quality outpatient setting
  • Support continued growth of imaging services across the Portland metro region
  • Optional participation in breast imaging, MSK, neuroradiology, or procedural services depending on training and interest
  • Productivity expectations align with MGMA medians

Requirements
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Diagnostic Radiology
  • Fellowship training welcomed but not required
  • Unrestricted Oregon medical license (or ability to obtain)
  • Commitment to clinical excellence, teamwork, and compassionate patient care

Benefits
  • Competitive guaranteed base salary $650k
  • Two-year guaranteed salary structure
  • Productivity incentives and value-based bonuses
  • Outpatient-focused schedule with limited or flexible call structure
  • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) with match
  • Annual CME allowance plus paid CME time
  • Generous PTO and paid holidays
  • Dedicated clinical and administrative support team
  • Partnership opportunity after two years
  • Strong emphasis on physician autonomy and work-life balance
