Die Cutter Operator

Frankston Packaging is seeking a Die Cutter Operator to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to work independently in a fast-paced production environment. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and organizational skills and a commitment to quality and safety.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review job/order specifications from the job jacket to determine all necessary details, including quantity, material, style, and special requirements.

• Verify that all appropriate approvals (size/style) are in place. Notify Quality Assurance if any approvals are missing.

• Set up and operate the die cutting press while maintaining expected quality and productivity levels.

• Identify and correct in-process quality issues. Mark any questionable loads per work instructions. Ensure printing sort and redstain runs are kept on separate pallets and clearly marked for finishing.

• Accurately report raw material usage (including waste) and production time in the ASI reporting system.

• Inspect each load produced, ensuring continuous quality control. Communicate any problems or inconsistencies to management.

• Keep management informed of job status and provide input for continuous improvement.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

• Ability to move throughout the Die Cutting Department and safely navigate catwalks around the die cutting equipment.

• Proficient in using a pallet jack to transport paperboard pallets to and from staging areas.

• Must be able to lean, lie down, stoop, kneel, and stand on or in the press for setup and maintenance tasks.

• Capable of lifting and carrying cutting dies and paperboard stacks (some may exceed 35 lbs.).

• Good close vision is necessary for accurate inspection of work in process.
