Job Summary
We are looking for an Automotive / Diesel Technician to join our growing dealership service center.
As an Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing emergency vehicles. You must be comfortable using the dealership’s computer software and have knowledge of vehicle systems.
If you have a “never give up” attitude and are willing to problem-solve until you find the best solution for the customer, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Use your expertise and tools to evaluate vehicle malfunction codes
- Assist with establishing service center procedures for tracking repair status, maintaining technical documentation, and other necessary protocols
- Carry out routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as tire rotations, oil changes, and brake pad replacements
- Conduct in-depth vehicle inspections of all systems, including engine, transmission, and brakes
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and repeat business
- Convey necessary vehicle repair information to customers in a clear and concise manner
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required
- Automotive Service Excellence/ASE certification or Society of Automotive Engineers/SAE certification is preferred
- Strong customer service and communications skills are required

All of our employees take part in a relaxed and exciting work environment. Our Service Department and Office staff typically work an 8am to 4:30pm schedule, 5 days a week, based out of our Ewing, NJ facility. Our Equipment and Apparatus Sales staff primarily work on a per-diem / commission basis and are located throughout the region.
Our full-time employees receive a generous salary and compensation package, including medical, prescription, and dental benefits. Service Technicians work a rotating on-call schedule with opportunities for overtime and receive bonuses for training achievements and job performance.
Our "Outside" Regional Sales Staff are driven and self-motivated members of the emergency services community and have the ability to set their own schedule as needed to meet the demands of their clients. In addition to their commission-based compensation, our sales staff can receive bonus compensation for meeting sales goals as well as promoting EES's other divisions which may not be a part of their routine duties.
