Position Summary: 

The mechanic will oversee day-to-day and preventive maintenance of all company fleet including heavy trucks, heavy equipment, light trucks, and more. The mechanic will work closely with teammates to repair equipment on a timely basis to ensure our operations can continue running. 

Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

• Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repair of equipment and tools involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems 
• Inspections and diagnoses of fleet 
• Properly fix and maintain vehicles and equipment 
• Run diagnostic tests 
• Oil changes and brake checks 
• Maintain records and inventory of all parts 
• Physically capable to do the job 
• Maintain the shop to a clean and safe standard
• Any other duties that may be required or assigned 

Qualifications

• Have a minimum of 1 year of experience servicing and maintaining equipment daily
• Experience must include at least 2 of the following: Heavy truck, heavy equipment, diesel, light truck, and automotive and gen set
• CDL is a plus but not a requirement 
• Maintenance must be timely and accurate
• Dependable, reliable, and self-starter 
• Excellent communication skills

Company Requirements

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check to company standards.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical test and drug and alcohol screening. 
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Physical requirements 

• More than 75% of the time will be spent kneeling, bending, squatting, walking, and carrying up to 50 lbs. 
• Less than 25% of the time will be spent sitting, driving, and doing desk work. 

Compensation and Benefits: 

Compensation: $25 - $40 per hour, depending on experience and/or certifications.
