Our Story
R.C. “Bob” Vause graduated from NC State in 1942 and took a job as an assistant County Agent in Cumberland County, working there for 3 years.
In April 1945, Bob Vause signed an Allis Chalmers Contract with little to his name who took a chance on starting up a business with the help of a few bank loans and hard work. A farmer in La Grange, NC for years, Bob had the intimate knowledge of and appreciation for North Carolina farmers. Vause Equipment was born in 1945 and incorporated in 1947.
From the very start, Bob involved his son Bobby in the everyday tasks and management of Vause Equipment. In 1978, Bob Vause died very suddenly and Bobby took the driver's seat, running Vause Equipment.
In August of 1983, Vause acquired the Ford Tractor Contract to add to Vause Equipment’s line of farm equipment. Over the years Ford bought New Holland. Ford New Holland then bought Case IHC and formed Case New Holland. Through the years Vause Equipment Inc has been a consistent force in the farm and industrial equipment business in Fayetteville & Eastern NC.
Our business has been built on customer service. This extends into every part of our operation—new and used tractor sales, parts and service. A constant effort is made to assure that the high level of public respect and confidence we have earned over the years is maintained.
