Diesel Mechanic

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair diesel and gasoline-powered engines and components
• Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections on fleet vehicles and heavy equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair brake systems, suspensions, transmissions, electrical, hydraulic, and clutch systems
• Maintain accurate service logs and repair documentation in our digital fleet management system
• Repair and service small power equipment (e.g., compressors, mowers, jackhammers)
• Manage parts inventory and assist with ordering supplies and developing vehicle specifications
• Operate plow trucks and participate in snow removal and emergency operations as needed
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience in diesel and gasoline engine maintenance and repair
• Technical/vocational training in automotive or diesel mechanics
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and mechanical systems
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently
