Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking Experienced Diesel Mechanics for our repair facility in Crestwood, IL, to repair our fleet of semi -trucks and trailers. Technicians should have a minimum of 3 years experience repairing heavy -duty trucks, trailers, or school/transit buses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and
  electrical problems on heavy -duty vehicles and trailers.
  
• Perform routine
  maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including oil changes, filter
  replacements, and system diagnostics; replace and repair major internal
  engine components, transmission repairs, and rebuilds.
  
• Perform DOT annual inspections on medium/heavy -duty
  vehicles and trailers.
  
• Use computer diagnostic equipment.
  
• Conduct inspections and
  tests to ensure vehicles and equipment are in proper working condition.
  
• Maintain accurate records
  of all maintenance and repair work performed.
  

Qualifications:

• 3 -
  5 years of experience working as a diesel mechanic 
  
• Proven
  experience as a diesel mechanic, with a strong understanding of diesel
  engine systems and components.
  
• Proficiency
  with diagnostic tools and equipment.
  
• Strong
  problem -solving skills and attention to detail.
  
• Ability
  to work independently and as part of a team.
  
• Excellent
  communication and organizational skills.
  

$35 - $40/hr. Wage rang is based on experience level, certification and qualifications.

Shift: Days, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM Monday–Friday. OT paid after 40 hours. Should be flexible to work the occasional Saturdays.
