Diesel Mechanic

RYCO Lease & Repair is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician to join our team! This role is responsible for performing high-level diagnostics, maintenance, and repair work on a wide range of equipment including heavy trucks, light trucks and trailers.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, trucks and trailers


• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues


• Conduct repairs on platforms such as Caterpillar, Cummins, and Paccar


• Use diagnostic tools including Davie4, Cummins Insite, Bendix, and other OEM software


• Perform routine maintenance services such as fluid replacement and lubrication


• Weld and fabricate components as needed


• Communicate clearly with parts personnel to ensure efficient workflow


• Conduct vehicle inspections per state and DOT regulations


• Maintain accurate service records of issues, diagnostics, and completed repairs


• Keep tools and diagnostic equipment clean and in proper working condition


• Adhere to all RYCO safety policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• Experience with diagnostic software: Davie4, Cummins Insite, Bendix, etc.


• Familiarity with Caterpillar, Cummins, and Paccar engines is an additional benefit. 


• Solid understanding of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems


• Welding and fabrication experience is an additional benefit. 


• Ability to operate trucks and heavy equipment preferred


• Trade school certification or equivalent on-the-job experience


• Valid driver’s license required


• Must be at least 18 years of age


• Commitment to ongoing training and skill development
