Reports to: Fleet Manager
Job Summary: Diesel Mechanics perform necessary tasks under minimal supervision to maintain and repair all tractor-trailers, trucks, and heavy equipment including but not limited to Wheel Loaders, Excavators, Skid Steers, Crushing Plants, etc.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- This position requires a comprehensive working knowledge of all mechanical systems, as well as knowledge of DOT rules and regulations mandated by a variety of governmental agencies.
- Mechanics will create & record duties performed on daily work orders.
- Perform repairs via troubleshooting, diagnostics, the process of elimination, etc.
- Conduct regular preventative maintenance, including inspections, tire rotations, and oil changes.
- Maintain parts, inventory, and cleanliness.
- Collaborate with managers to diagnose problems, plan repairs and communicate accurate records of each repair.
- The job is local with the potential for out-of-town trips.
- Day & nightwork available.
Requirements: Preferably bilingual in Spanish and English.
Training: NONE | Experience Required.
Wage Potential: $35.00-$40.00/ hour | Fringe benefits are included in the wage rate.

Qualifications:
- Mechanics should have a minimum of 2 years of experience with diesel-operated equipment.
- Considerable knowledge of mechanical tools.
- Proficient D.O.T and 90-day inspections.
- Preferably hold a Class A license and has a diesel mechanic certificate but is not required.
Physical Demands:
- May regularly lift and or move 10 pounds, frequently lift and or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally move up to 100 lbs.

- During a shift, a mechanic regularly climbs and balances themselves. Regularly, a mechanic will need to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, and or crawl.
