Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Diesel Technician to join our maintenance team. This role focuses on advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of diesel -powered equipment and vehicles. The ideal candidate has strong electrical and emissions diagnostic experience and can efficiently identify and resolve complex mechanical issues while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform advanced diagnostics on diesel engines, emissions systems, and electronic controls
Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Diagnose and repair aftertreatment systems (DPF, DEF, SCR)
Utilize diagnostic software and OEM scan tools to determine root cause failures
Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, and drivetrains
Accurately document repairs, diagnostics, and parts usage
Conduct preventative maintenance inspections
Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and company policies
Assist and mentor junior technicians as needed
Required Qualifications
3+ years of hands -on diesel technician experience
Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills
Experience with diesel engines (Cummins, Detroit, CAT, PACCAR, etc.)
Familiarity with OEM diagnostic software and scan tools
Ability to read wiring diagrams and service manuals
Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred or willingness to obtain)
Own basic hand tools
