Job Description - Diesel Mechanics

Position Summary:


Talent Source is hiring experienced Diesel Mechanics for shipboard engine and generator maintenance.

Job Duties:



  • Perform maintenance and overhaul on diesel engines and generators.

  • Diagnose faults in fuel, exhaust, and turbocharger systems.

  • Conduct preventive maintenance and maintain service logs.

  • Use diagnostic tools and software where applicable.

  • Work on Caterpillar, Cummins, or similar marine engines.


Qualifications:



  • 5+ year of diesel engine repair experience, OR completion of a related technical training program, certification, or coursework (equivalent experience considered).

  • Knowledge of US Navy engineering systems preferred.

  • Must be comfortable working aboard vessels in tight conditions.


Pay Range: $26-$34/hour (based on experience)
