Job Description - Diesel Technician

Diesel Technician / Mechanic (Truck) – Top Pay, Growth, and Stability

What You’ll Do


You’ll be hands-on with diesel trucks and/or buses, handling everything from preventative maintenance to complex diagnostics.



  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues quickly and accurately

  • Perform preventive maintenance to keep fleets running efficiently

  • Repair and maintain engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, hydraulics, and drivelines

  • Use diagnostic tools, manuals, and equipment to troubleshoot problems

  • Complete repairs efficiently and within standard times

  • Document work performed clearly and accurately

  • Support drivers/operators with technical insight when needed

  • Handle road calls and emergency repairs (shop + mobile roles available)

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

  • Collaborate with a team that values communication and accountability


 


What You Bring


We’re looking for techs who know their craft and want to keep getting better.



  • High School Diploma or GED (required)

  • 2+ years of diesel or heavy equipment experience

  • Strong knowledge of diesel systems (engines, electrical, hydraulics, etc.)

  • Ability to diagnose issues—not just replace parts

  • Basic computer skills for service documentation

  • CDL (a plus, not required)

  • Trade school or certifications (a plus)

  • Willingness to work overtime when needed
