Generations at Applewood in Matteson, Illinois, has Immediate Openings for a Dietary Aide to work early morning to 2p. Position available is Full-time. Must have Food Handler Certificate. Healthcare dietary experience required -- not fast food. 

Rate: $16.00 per hour!

Hours are: 6:30a-2:00p - days may vary and will be worked out with the Food Service manager. Every other Weekend is required.

You'll be learning by doing multiple functions within our dietary department: prepping, plating, assembling and passing trays, dishwashing all the while being mentored by someone with years of culinary experience. Responsibilities of the Dietary Aide:

• Assist in the preparation and service of food and beverages for residents as assigned
• Coordinate daily dietary services with the nursing staff
• Read and interpret Diet Cards
• Deliver food to residents' rooms
• Set up/take down dining areas
• May take inventory of food and supplies
• Ensure work areas are clean, organized and safe
• Dishwashing and other tasks as assigned

of the Dietary Aide:

• Previous dietary experience in a healthcare facility - NOT Fast Food
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must have Food Handler Certification
• Basic awareness/knowledge of sanitation practices as it relates to food preparation
• Ability to read, speak and understand English
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Must have compassion and tolerance for older adults
• Deliver excellent customer service with a smile!
• Must be deemed eligible to work in healthcare by IDPH; May require fingerprinting. No Waivers accepted.
