Dietary Aide - PRN position

Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Performs a variety of duties related to the preparation and service of food; cleans kitchen area and cooking utensils.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Is prompt and regular in attendance. Works scheduled hours. Complies with hospital personnel policies.
2. Sets up and serves patient trays and performs other duties in accordance with established schedule and procedures.
3. Cleans kitchen area and cooking utensils.
4. Operates dishwasher to ensure all dishes and utensils are clean.
5. Washes, cuts, and otherwise prepares vegetables and other foods according to age restrictions established by the Department of Labor.
6. Collects, processes, and disposes of trash, cans, bottles, and similar waste and transports to waste containers outside building.
7. Assists with care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies within age restrictions established by the Department of Labor.
8. Maintains department records, reports, and files as required.
9. Attends and participates in department meetings, educational programs and in-services.
10. Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
