Dietary Assistant

We are seeking a Dietary Assistant to join our community committed to delivering outstanding food to our residents. As a Dietary Assistant, you will play an important role in all phases of food preparation that meets or exceeds Buckner quality, service, and hospitality standards. What you'll do:

• Set tables; bus tables, wash off tables after meals.


• Responsible for preparing beverages and food as required.


• Serve food in dining rooms or other areas as required.


• Serve beverages to residents as required.


• Blend food in electric blender; prepare steam table.


• Prepare hot cart and serve food; clean and sanitize carts.


• Wash dishes; scrape and rack dishes; sort, stack, store clean dishes.


• Mop, sweep, and clean work area.

 What you’ll bring:

• Completes and meets required training and certification requirements of Buckner and governing authorities; e.g. food handlers certificate.


• Requires knowledge of and ability to learn food serving, cleanliness and sanitation requirements.


• Requires ability to move food service and preparation equipment as needed, using up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 pounds of force to move objects. continuously


• Requires ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time; ability to turn, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, stand and walk over 75% of shift.
