Job Description - Dietary Assistant Manager

Description

Bayside Care Center and Casa De Flores are looking for someone to assist our Dietary Director in managing our dietary department and joining our nutritional services team. You will be responsible for delivering high quality care to residents at our two facilities: Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living.

As the facility's assistant dietary manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that quality food service and nutritional care is provided at all times. You will also be responsible for assisting in planning, organizing, developing and directing the overall operation of the dietary department in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines/regulations, and the facility's established policies and procedures.

Your daily job duties will include but not be limited to the following:

· Assist in oversight of the dietary department

· Oversight of our dining room services at assisted living facility

· Work on employee schedules

· Input invoices into budget spreadsheet

· Assist in placing food orders

· Assist in shelfing food deliveries

· Assist in food preparation

· Kitchen sanitation and test tray audit

· Educate staff

· Visiting with residents for their 90-day assessments

· Prepare our weekly coffee cart for our assisted living facility

· Print meal tickets, nourishment labels, and food labels

· Cover shifts for kitchen staffs when necessary

· Monitor expired products

· Dry storage inspections

Requirements

 

· High school diploma or equivalent required with reading, comprehension, and writing abilities.

· Experience in dietary setting preferred.

· Employment offers are contingent upon the results of a background screening and reference check.

· Must be able to lift 50 pounds

· Frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting
