Summary

TFC Digital Commerce recently established its Strategic Planning & Analysis team, and this role will be instrumental in strengthening and scaling that function. As Manager, Digital Commerce Strategic Planning & Analysis, you will own the financial view of category and channel performance, from shadow P&L management through budgeting and long-range planning, and serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership. You will set the standards, operating rhythm, and reporting and business review processes that keep leadership informed, establishing strong foundations as the team grows. Reporting to the Vice President of Digital Strategic Planning & Analysis, you will operate with significant autonomy, influence decisions across the Digital Commerce team, and carry meaningful ownership of the outcomes.


 


This position will support our Commerce group under our Technology Services team. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office and/or show site 2-3 days per week.  The ideal candidate will be based out of any of the following locations:



  • Dallas, TX

  • Chicago, IL

  • Las Vegas, NV

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Shadow P&L & Financial Performance



  • Co-own the Digital Commerce shadow P&L, with accountability for its accuracy, integrity and the monthly variance analysis.

  • Set the methodology and standards for how Digital Commerce reconciles to actuals, budget inputs, and forecasts, in partnership with FP&A.

  • Own the view into unit economics and contribution margin by category, and determine how cost drivers are measured and reported.



Category Reporting & Forecasting



  • Drive enhancements to the design, standards, and ongoing maintenance of category-level KPI reporting, scorecards, and plan/forecast views.

  • Own rolling category forecasts end to end, accountable for forecast quality and for deciding which risks and opportunities to escalate to leadership.

  • Serve as the primary analytical advisor to Digital Merchandising, translating category performance into decisions and recommended actions.


Budgeting & Long-Range Planning



  • Support the annual budget process for Digital Commerce, by owning the bottoms-up category plans and strategies in partnership with FP&A and Digital Merchandising.

  • Own category-level long-range plan (LRP) modeling and scenario analysis, and defend the assumptions to senior leadership.

  • Translate strategic priorities into financial targets and set the framework others use to plan against them.



Business Reviews (WBR, MOR, QBR)



  • Own the Digital Commerce performance narrative and recommended actions presented at the Weekly Business Review (WBR).

  • Own and deliver the content and analysis for the Monthly Operating Review (MOR).

  • Partner with the VP to shape the Quarterly Business Review (QBR), leading the underlying analysis and story.



Data & Special Projects



  • Partner with Customer Insights to bring audience and demand data into performance views, and decide how it is incorporated into reporting.

  • Serve as the business owner for Digital Commerce reporting in the Snowflake data migration, accountable for validating that rebuilt reporting is accurate and fit for purpose.

  • Lead requirements definition with Data & Analytics and set priorities for closing gaps in category reporting.

  • Establish the operating rhythm, standards, and playbooks for the Strategic Planning & Analysis function as it scales.

Education & Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Analytics, Economics, or a related field required. MBA preferred.

  • 7-10 years of total professional experience, including at least 5 years in a specialized area such as FP&A, financial or merchandise planning, business analytics, or category management, ideally in e-commerce, corporate retail, or CPG.

  • Experience owning or leading a recurring business review process (WBR, MOR, QBR, or equivalent).

  • Demonstrated experience leading initiatives and influencing outcomes across an organization, including at the executive level.

  • Experience mentoring, coaching, or setting direction for junior analysts.

  • Background in category management, retail analytics, or merchandising finance; familiarity with cloud data platforms (Snowflake or similar); exposure to promotional or pricing analytics.

  • Experience utilizing AI tools to speed up analysis, reporting, and day-to-day work.

Travel Requirements

Travel up to 25%

  • Salary range of $95,00-$120,000 based upon experience

  • Eligible for an annual bonus of up to 5% of the base salary
