Digital Communications Associate

The Arizona Democratic Party is seeking a Digital Communications Associate, a key member of our Party’s communications team. The Digital Communications Associate will manage and develop social media content and design key digital assets for the Party. The ideal candidate enjoys writing copy for social media, is up-to-date on social media trends and has 1-3 years of experience in graphic design.
Logistics
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Hours: This position’s schedule will vary based on the needs of the campaign and point in the cycle, and is likely to require evening and weekend work over the course of the election cycle.
Duties
Developing content for ADP’s Social Media channels including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram.
Developing graphic design materials including: social media graphics, event materials, email newsletter graphics and content, and other misc. collateral.
Tracking social media, email newsletter and website analytics.
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Communications.
Position Requirements

Qualifications
Excellent communication skills with experience writing for social media platforms and a proven track record of being detail-oriented.

Experience working with WordPress, creating new pages and posts, managing and updating existing content.

Proficiency in the Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign), Figma, or similar design software.

A portfolio showcasing your graphic design with both digital and print projects is encouraged.

Passion for electing Democrats.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, to meet deadlines.

Fluent in Spanish is a plus.

Experience working with Mailchimp is a plus.
