Digital Finisher

Description

SUMMARY
The digital finisher is responsible for reviewing the daily schedule and completing the work as required to meet the expectations of our clients. The digital finisher must communicate any issues that could cause a job or program to be off schedule to the bindery manager or supervisor on duty. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review daily schedule and coordinate with digital pressroom on expected material arrival
• Understand digital program work as it relates to both cadence and finishing
• Read and understand the job ticket/work instructions and review proofs (when applicable)
• Capture all costs associated with a job utilizing data collection system
• Perform digital bindery operations: cutting, creasing, folding, stitching, collating, shrink-wrapping as it relates to a job or program
• Tag material as required for internal Hatteras movements utilizing material movement placards
• Communicate with bindery manager on the status of jobs/programs throughout shift
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment per equipment user manuals
• Keep an organized work area while working and also when shift is finished

Requirements

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Must have 3 years’ experience on digital bindery equipment (cutter, creaser, stitcher)
• Must have a collaborative mindset and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while producing accurate high quality products.
• Ability to effectively communicate in Spanish or English. 
• Good attention to detail.
