Job Description - Digital Marketing Director

As Skyline Supply continues to grow, they seek a

Director of Marketing & Ecommerce

who will drive the strategic direction for the corporation’s marketing initiatives and ecommerce platform. The Director of Marketing & Ecommerce will lead a team of marketing professionals in the creation of marketing campaigns designed to increase the value and performance of Skyline Supply's brand, sales, service and products via web, SEO/SEM, social media, display, branches and additional non-digital marketing vehicles. This leader will focus on developing our brand’s profit and loss performance, image and positioning compared to competitors.
The Director of Marketing & Ecommerce will build and develop our website into both a customer acquisition engine and an outright sales channel, serving new and existing customers in novel and meaningful new ways. She/He will strive for a balance of speed and measurement, innovation and consistency, boldness and authenticity.
The right candidate for this role will display strong team, cross-functional and corporate leadership skills, long term strategic vision, commercial acumen and a deep understanding of Skyline Supply’s customers and industries. He/She must display creativity and passion towards uncovering consumer insights and delivering innovative marketing campaigns. With the assistance of a team the right candidate will generate strategies that grow market share and brand reputation, improve customer experience and drive growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Craft long term vision and corporate roadmap for marketing and ecommerce initiatives.
Lead other business leaders through strategic marketing and commercial plans to drive customer acquisition, gross profit improvement and revenue growth.
Take brand ownership and provide vision, mission, goals and strategies to grow the business.
Lead team of marketing professionals to create meaningful content for campaigns that will be deployed through all available corporate channels: web, social, print, sales team, merchandising, training, email, and other non-digital means.
Define structure for digital customer acquisition strategy, focusing on key measurements: lifetime value, average first order value, repeat order rate, multi-category adoption, etc.
Evaluate market and competition, develop plans to ensure Skyline Supply remains in a leadership position in terms of offers, product assortment information and merchandising.
Plan, manage and execute $MM marketing and ecommerce budget.
Develop merchandising strategy focused on serving customer needs, cross category sales, add-on opportunities and inventory turns efficiency.
Contribute insight to measurement of end-to-end customer experience across all sales channels.
Demonstrate the ability to develop relationships, communicate effectively and positively influence people.
Analyze how Skyline Supply brand is positioned in the market and solidify target customer insights.
Strong collaboration with internal business partners and external agencies.
Measure and report results of all marketing and ecommerce initiatives.
Reduce and anticipate bottlenecks
Coach, mentor, develop and challenge the team to create a satisfied and engaged work force.
Maximize ROI and optimize team efficiency through strategic alignment of goals to business needs.
Drive innovation with current specialty contractor customer base, as well as new customer segments.

KEY OPERATING METRICS:
New Customer Acquisition
Repeat Customer Rate/Customer Retention
Best Customer Experience Measurements:Digital and non-digital engagement metrics
Sales and GP growth (corporate level)
ROI and ROAS for all marketing and ecommerce actions
Ecommerce specific Sales and GP growth

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
BA/BS required, MBA or additional graduate degree a plus.
Strong and recent experience in B2B and/or B2C.
Strong leadership skills, capable of leading a successful team and influencing internal stakeholders while establishing strong operating process across marketing function.
Strategic thinker, with background in content creation.
Strong business and commercial acumen.
Proven track record of results in digital marketing and Ecommerce.
Strong team, cross-functional and corporate leadership skills. Ability to establish highly collaborative environment with key internal and external “customers”.
Highly creative and out of the box thinker.Ability to innovate and create new ways of growing the business.
Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex plans into concise and clear recommendations.
Experience in identifying target audiences and devising campaigns that engage, inform and motivate action.
Ability to review current practices and bring a fresh perspective on ways to approach existing problems.
Up-to-date with latest trends and marketing best practices, demonstrating ability to remain on the leading edge of innovation.
