Job Title: Digital Prepress and Press Operations Specialist 

Reports to: Production Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Color managing utilizing X-Rite and other color devices to provide predictable press color output


• Directing a standard utilized throughout prepress with weekly maintenance procedures


• Utilizing databases to perform mass print production in our school, church directory, yearbook, and sport division


• Color correcting many images in our prepress to assure great skin tones


• Experience utilizing XY Cutters on various substrates


• Paper profiling to create predictable color on each press


• Toner based press operations skills that utilizing the Fiery RIP and keeping prevent maintenance initiatives current


• Experience with large format printing utilizing several substrates


• Experience in utilizing Fiery RIP software to provide efficient workflow and cut marks for post press machinery (guillotine and xy cutter)


• Operate and maintain perfect bound binding and three knife trimmers


• Utilizing production software to track orders entering and leaving our prepress and production departments


• Motivated to contribute to our process improvement team to problem solve and implement ideas that  will result in attaining our production goals

Requirements:

• Being a team player and having fun is a must for our culture.


• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.


• Two years of relevant experience in printing operations.


• Two years of relevant experience in color managing monitors and presses.


• Comprehensive understanding of the printing process, including pre-press preparation and final production.


• A background in graphic design is advantageous.


• Strong troubleshooting skills and a keen eye for detail.

Salary and Benefits:

• Starting at $20 an hour but are flexible depending on the specific experience and value they provide to the team.
