Digital Testing Lead 

As Bayer Crop Science's digital farming arm, we advance regenerative agriculture and technology breakthroughs using the latest agronomic science, data science, engineering, and real-world farming experience. With groundbreaking technologies like FieldView and our ForGround regenerative agriculture platform, our team is a part of some of the most important advancements in ag. 

The Digital Testing Lead position will execute field testing in regions on new Climate Fieldview features & New Business Model in pre-commercial plots. This role will conduct testing of late tests and learn plots where L1 squads are accountable and capture insights for product positioning. 

This territory-based position is available for candidates based in Iowa. 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

The primary responsibilities of this role are to: 

• Build relationships with the Bayer sales organization and key farmer cooperators to position field trials 
• Maintain a strong connection to Bayer Digital Farming Solutions, helping understand how Fieldview’s new features and digital agronomic solutions can create the best customer insights and drive the Bayer Commerical business 
• Ulitize a strong understanding of Bayer’s Fieldview digital platform to inform decisions
• Work with the digital training team to transfer pre-commercial pilot information to sales organization 
• Work with the sales organization through Digital Enablement Leads on pilot learnings 
• Capture and rank learnings across desirability, feasibility, & viability on input from users 

WHO YOU ARE 

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following: 

Required: 

• Bachelor's in agriculture/agronomy science, or related relevant field  
• 5 years ag industry experience 
• Strong experience in field testing, understanding protocols, data collection and data analysis 
• Ability to work with growers and third parties for data collection 
• Excellent knowledge of the agricultural input business, especially seed and crop protection  
• Willingness to travel (25%) 

Preferred: 

• Strong facilitation, presentation, and written communication skills 
• Strong collaboration and team mindset  

Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately $120-155k. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).  Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc..  This salary (or salary range) is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
