Our Dining Room Manager is responsible for supervision of the daily preparation and service of meals, use and maintenance of kitchen equipment, and the safety and sanitation of the kitchen and dining areas.

Responsibilities

• Maintains good public relations with residents and attends to resident requests, problems, comfort and needed service.


• Receives and logs food orders, communicates orders to the kitchen, facilitates packaging, ensures accuracy, and coordinates pick-up and/or delivery.


• Assists with the coordination and direction of dining room team members, completes seating charts, cleaning assignments, and any other direction to team members as needed.


• Facilitates a pre-service orientation for team members before each meal to discuss food being served and any special instructions.


• Responsible for maintaining inventory and stocking of snacks, disposables, and supplements.


• Ensures that private dining parties and special event functions are properly set up, assists with service as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience preferred.


• Experience in a hospital, retirement home, nursing home, or cafeteria desirable.


• Serv-Safe certification preferred.


• Working knowledge of the basic principles of dietetics, food sanitation and service, and familiarity with quantity food preparation.


• Proficiency with Microsoft Office – excel, word processing and spreadsheet
