Thrive Now Recovery Center is opening a new facility in Cedar Falls and we’re looking for a Dining Service Coordinators / Cooks to join our founding team. In this role, you'll support the well-being of our clients by preparing nutritious meals that meet specific dietary needs in a clean, welcoming environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner in accordance with dietary guidelines and individual guest needs


• Collaborate with the Dietitian and order food based on the weekly census


• Ensure compliance with state-specific food safety regulations


• Monitor and document food, refrigerator, freezer, and water temperatures


• Maintain clean and sanitary kitchen conditions including dishes, surfaces, and storage areas


• Serve meals and snacks, assist with table clearing, and support a positive dining experience


• Report changes in guest behavior or condition to the clinical team


• Support other kitchen duties as assigned

What You Bring:

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team


• Comfortable reading and interpreting recipes, menus, and safety protocols


• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills


• ServeSafe and Allergen Awareness Certificate (or willingness to obtain upon hire)


• Preferred: 1+ year experience in food service or a healthcare setting


• Preferred: Familiarity with proper food handling, sanitation, and budget-conscious ordering

Other Requirements:

• Must pass a drug screen and criminal background check


• CPR and First Aid certification (or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire)


• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs frequently, and occasionally up to 50 lbs


• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, purpose-driven recovery center environment
