Dir Of Perioperative Services

Description

Design and implement care and coordination of surgical services consisting of Operating Room, Pre-operative, Post-Anesthesia Care services and Anesthesia services. Director of Perioperative Services will be responsible for planning and organizing activities within the service line to ensure achievement of quality matrixes, exceptional patient outcomes and engaged staff, while partnering with the medical staff. Oversite of staffing, scheduling, education, regulatory, and compliance in all facets of the role. Responsible for development and adherence to department standards, utilizing AORN and other professional organizations as guidelines for evidence based practices or practice based evidence in Perioperative services. 

Requirements

Must have an Associate Degree or Diploma in nursing. Bachelor or Master Degree preferred. 

Must have a current RN Texas license. 

BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required. CNOR and TNCC is desirable. 

Membership in a professional organization is desirable.
