Direct Care Attendant

University Home Care Inc is seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Attendants to provide essential in-home support to clients in Chelsea, MI. This role involves assisting individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being in a respectful and professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.


• Support clients with mobility and transferring as needed.


• Help with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.


• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.


• Assist with medication reminders and other healthcare needs according to provided instructions.


• Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy living environment for clients.


• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.


• Document client progress and report any changes in condition promptly.

Requirements

• Previous experience in direct care or related field is an advantage, but NOT required.


• Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care is a MUST.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


• Reliability and punctuality are essential.


• Must be able to pass background checks.


• Valid driver’s license or state ID is required for this position.


• Reliable transportation is a plus.
