Job Description - Direct Care Staff

Come join our team!!! We have full-time positions available.

Spread Your Wings was established in 2015 in a small one room office in Morgan Hill, California. Since then, has expanded with 10 offices now across California and more plans to expand further. We provide a wide range of services to intellectually and developmentally disabled individuals. We are currently seeking motivated individuals, with a real passion for helping others to join our Supportive Living Services team in Sacramento, CA.

No prior experience? No problem! We are willing to train.

As a direct Care Staff, you would help to maintain a safe, supportive environment, which ensures the quality of living of our clients. You would work closely with individuals to provide the appropriate support tailored to their abilities, needs, desires and interests to enable each to live as independently as possible. By assisting, supporting, encouraging, empowering and teaching individuals to achieve their set goals established in their ISP. While consistently following the client’s treatment plan, you would provide companionship, guidance, and supervision, so that they can have an independent life of their choosing, leading to a brighter future.

We provide comprehensive training in this rewarding field to ensure your success. Whether you have experience caring for or assisting family members/friends, experience in this field or just someone eager to learn and make a difference, we want to hear from you!

Available shifts:
Shift 1: 6am-2pm Monday - Friday
Shift 2: 2pm-10pm Monday - Friday

Rate of Pay: $18-$19 DOE

The ideal candidate:

Has a real passion for helping others.
Senior caregiving experience required.
Professionalism and respect for clients and colleagues
Willingness to learn and grow in the role.
Reliable, energetic, flexible, and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
Act as a positive role model to support the client and establish a constructive and appropriate personal relationship with client.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be willing to drive a client in your personal vehicle that is in safe operating condition.

High School Graduate or equivalent in experience providing personal care to individuals.
Must satisfactorily pass DOJ background check.
Must satisfactorily pass motor vehicle record check.
Must have a valid and current California driver’s license, proof of current vehicle insurance, and valid vehicle registration.
CPR/First Aide Certification
