We are seeking dedicated Caregivers / Direct Care Workers to join our team and provide personal assistance and care to veterans in their homes in the cities of Detroit, Western Wayne County and the Downriver area. As a Caregiver / Direct Care Worker at Care Plan Inc, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of veterans and make a meaningful impact on their daily lives.

Responsibilities:

• Travel to veterans' homes to provide care and assistance
• Help with activities of daily living such as bathing and using the bathroom
• Assist with meals and medication management
• Keep veterans' personal spaces clean and organized
• Spend time listening to veterans and providing emotional support
• Document the care provided and participate in team meetings and training sessions

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
• Physical ability to assist with various personal care tasks
• Compassion, patience, and understanding towards veterans
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

Starting Pay:

• We offer competitive pay ranging from $15-$21 per hour. We also have mileage reimbursement.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Expected Hours: 24 – 40 per week

Schedule: 

Schedules are flexible and shifts range in duration and time of day to best fit the client's and your availability. 

• Shifts range between 6:00am - 6:00pm
• No Nights
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Experience:

• Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred)

Work Location: Varies. At the client's home.
