Direct Care Worker

University Home Care Inc is seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Workers to join our team in Petersburg, MI. As a Direct Care Worker, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals in their daily lives, helping them maintain independence and improve their quality of life. This role requires a caring attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.


• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.


• Monitor and report any changes in clients’ health status or behavior.


• Help clients with mobility and transportation as needed.


• Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients.


• Follow care plans and instructions provided by healthcare professionals.


• Document services provided and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a caregiving or healthcare role is an asset, but NOT required.


• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.


• Ability to handle physical tasks related to client care.


• Reliable, trustworthy, and compassionate IS A MUST.


• Valid driver’s license or State ID is required for the position. 


• reliable transportation is a plus.


• Ability to pass background checks.
