Direct Sales Agent

About the team:

The Direct Sales team is responsible for finding prospective consumers and helping address their personal and family’s communication needs through GTA’s products and services.  The team will be built from the ground up and will comprise of self-motivated, goal-oriented, and driven individuals.  As a newly formed group, colleagues must maintain a can-do and agile mindset.  If you’re ready to sharpen your sales skills and enjoy building relationships with customers, this is the team to join!  

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for a self-motivated, goal-oriented team player with an enthusiastic attitude.  The ideal candidate is a sales professional who is passionate about pairing consumers with the right communications solution that best suits their needs.  

Here's what the role looks like:

This is a commission & base pay position that’s responsible for selling GTA services to consumers through door-to-door activity, lead lists, door hangers, and other outside sale programs.  Details of the role include:

• 
  Provide a high quality of service, excel in needs assessment and consultative selling


• 
  Attain sales, service, and productivity metrics


• 
  Take ownership of thoroughly understanding the features and benefits of all services, products, and promotions offered


• 
  Understand the customer demographic of targeted residential areas


• 
  Identify and establish contact with potential customers


• 
  Schedule and present product demonstrations with potential customers


• 
  Provide consistent documented customer sales and follow ups


• 
  Update and maintain prospect database and opportunity funnel on a daily basis, assuring management of prospect database and assures customers’ orders are fulfilled


• 
  Be up to speed on current customer needs and the competitive landscape

Candidates must show:

 

• 
  Ability to promote the company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients and business partners


• 
  Excellent communication skills which includes writing and presentation abilities


• 
  Good active listening skills


• 
  Professionalism and a sense of accountability


• 
  An entrepreneurial and can-do mindset


• 
  Ability to show empathy for customers by being able to identify obstacles and work out solutions


• 
  Good time management skills


• 
  Ability to operate in a technology-based and fast-paced environment

Here's what you need to have:

• 
  Minimum HS Diploma or GED equivalent


• 
  Two (2) or more years of experience in door to door sales or customer service, preferably in a telecommunication environment or related industry


• 
  Flexibility to work any shift, including nights and weekends


• 
  Valid driver’s license required


• 
  Regular, punctual, and consistent attendance


• 
  Must be able to work any shift and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary to meet the needs and goals of the business.
