Job Description - Direct Sales Agent

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Insurance Sales Agent to join our growing team. In this role, you will handle inbound and outbound calls, assess customer insurance needs, and sell policies that best suit their situations. The ideal candidate is goal oriented, professional, friendly, engaging, and seeks an opportunity for growth. Success in this role requires strong sales skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, repetitive environment. This position features an hourly base plus commission compensation, with expected total compensation of between $60,000 and $80,000+ per year!

Job Responsibilities

  • Engage with prospective customers via inbound and outbound calls, text, or other mediums.
  • Assess customer insurance needs and recommend suitable policy options across multiple carriers.
  • Understand and effectively communicate the value of various insurance products including auto, home, renters, commercial, and more.
  • Accurately process applications and maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a structured, high-volume call center environment.
  • Meet and exceed sales goals through strong closing techniques and customer-focused solutions.
  • Collaborate with team members and business leaders to drive continuous improvement and innovation in all aspects of the business.
  • Meet guidelines for attendance/punctuality and be receptive to flexible work hours as needed.
  • Lead and contribute to other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain a Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance license within the first two months of employment (if not already licensed).
    • Training and study support provided, including one paid attempt for licensing test.
  • Previous experience in Insurance Sales strongly preferred.
  • Experience in a call center or phone-based sales environment is a plus.
  • Strong persuasive and consultive sales skills required.
  • Ability to handle repetitive tasks with consistency and a positive attitude.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Strong adherence to compliance and regulatory standards.
