At Apple Grove Foster Care, our mission is to provide positive and nurturing foster homes to children and youth who come into care under the protection of the Department of Child and Family Services and the State. We also offer quality mental health services that are accessible to our growing community. In addition to serving youth in the community, we provide a wide variety of services to those with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

Your Role
As a Direct Support Professional at Apple Grove, you’ll be an essential part of fulfilling our mission and vision by:
- Supporting individuals with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration.
- Encouraging participation in community activities, hobbies, and social events.
- Assisting with skill development to promote independence and self-confidence.
- Fostering a safe, stable, and nurturing environment that supports the emotional well-being of children, youth, and adults.
What We’re Looking For
- A compassionate, patient, and empathetic attitude.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet diverse needs.
- Prior experience in caregiving or working with individuals with IDD is a plus but not required—we’ll provide comprehensive training!
- Must be at least 18 years of age to work with our adult population and 21 to work with our youth, have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance, and have the ability to pass a background check.
