Location: Ahoskie, NC

Schedule: Part-time | Monday/Thursday: 8:00am – 1:30pm, Tuesday/Wednesday: 8:00am – 5:30pm

Pay: $18/hour

Work Setting: On-site, at our Ahoskie EMPOWER location

Do you want work that makes a meaningful difference in your community? Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a Direct Support Professional to join our EMPOWER team in Ahoskie, NC.

As a Direct Support Professional, every day is an opportunity to make a difference! You'll support individuals with daily living activities, personal care, and recreational experiences while encouraging independence, social connections, and personal growth. Whether you're helping someone learn a new skill, participate in community events, or enjoy a favorite activity, you'll help create meaningful moments that promote confidence, inclusion, and a great quality of life.

What You’ll Do

• Ensure member health, safety, and well-being at all times


• Help with lifting, transfers, and mobility as needed


• Assist with medication administration and documentation


• Maintain accurate documentation and incident reports


• Work as part of a supportive, mission-driven team

What You Bring

We’re looking for someone who brings the experience, skills, and commitment needed to succeed in this role.

• High school diploma or equivalent required


• Valid North Carolina Driver’s license, reliable transportation and vehicle insurance required


• Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred, but not required.


• Interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and dependability are a must!
