As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in our Day Support Activities (DSA) program, you’ll play a vital role in creating enriching experiences for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Our DSA program offers engaging, skill-building opportunities tailored to diverse interests and abilities—from exploring the community to creative arts and independent living skills. If you’re compassionate, reliable, and looking for a career where every day matters, we’d love to meet you.
Please Note: We are currently hiring for a full-time schedule of Saturday–Wednesday or Sunday–Thursday, with shifts scheduled anytime between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM. Applicants must be able to use their personal vehicle to transport individuals supported during community activities (mileage reimbursement provided).
What You’ll Do as a DSP:
Provide compassionate, person-centered support throughout daily routines—this includes personal care, skill-building, and participation in community outings and events.
Support the development of essential life skills such as money management, social interaction, building and maintaining relationships, healthy decision-making, and problem-solving.
Assist individuals build meaningful connections within their communities by encouraging participation, creating inclusive opportunities, and guiding access to local resources and events.
Advocate for individual rights, choices, dignity, and self-determination, ensuring each person’s voice is heard and respected.
Provide hands-on assistance with transportation, medication administration, and accurate documentation in compliance with agency standards.
What We’re Looking for in a Direct Support Professional:
Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is a plus, but not required – we provide training!
High school diploma or GED
Must be at least 18 years old
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and auto insurance
Ability to pass a national background check
Strong communication skills and a genuine desire to help others
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with mobility
