Position Overview
We are seeking compassionate, dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to work in a group setting with adults with disabilities. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, supporting clients in their homes and communities. DSPs play a vital role in encouraging independence, fostering personal growth, and creating a safe, engaging environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living skills such as meal preparation, light cleaning, and organization
- Support clients in developing and practicing independent living skills
- Provide transportation to appointments, errands, or community activities as needed
- Follow individualized service plans and maintain accurate documentation
- Promote a positive and inclusive group living environment
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with clients, families, and staff
- Adapt to changing client needs and group dynamics
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Completion of required training prior to providing services (training provided)
- Ability to commit to a consistent 3PM – 11PM, Monday–Friday schedule
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Compassion, patience, and respect for individuals with disabilities
