Direct Support Professional (DSP) – ODP Services
$18+/hr | Weekday Shifts Available | Lehigh & Northampton Counties
Maximum Care, Inc. is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities.
This role focuses on companionship, daily activities, and community support. If you enjoy building relationships and making a positive difference, we’d love to meet you.

Build meaningful, supportive relationships
Provide companionship and emotional encouragement
Support participation in daily routines and activities
Assist with life skills that promote independence
Offer respectful assistance with personal care when needed
Help individuals live safely, confidently, and with dignity

🌟 A Day in the Life of a Direct Support Professional
No two days are exactly the same, but most shifts focus on connection, routine, and encouragement.
A typical day may include:

Spending time talking, laughing, and building trust
Supporting hobbies, games, walks, or simple community outings
Helping with meals or organizing daily routines
Encouraging independence while being a reliable presence
Ending the day knowing you helped someone feel valued and supported

Many DSPs say the relationships are the most rewarding part of the job.

✅ Requirements

Must be 18 years or older
Able to complete a criminal background check
Able to lift up to 25 lbs
Comfortable with standing, bending, kneeling, and assisting with personal care
Compassionate, dependable, and respectful

No experience required — paid training provided.
