Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of others? Join Horizon Project, a mission-driven nonprofit dedicated to empowering adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live full, independent lives. We're seeking compassionate, reliable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide hands-on support in our residential and community programs. No experience, certifications, degrees are required.

Job Duties:

• Give clients their medication and assist with medical appointments
• Keep client homes clean and safe
• Help keep track of client money and state benefits
• Help clients bathe/shower, brush their teeth, and go to the bathroom
• Do housekeeping, such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry
• Use a computer to do daily client documentation online
• Go with clients on outings to the store, museum, library, county fair, or music concerts
• Transport clients to appointments and community events (company vehicles provided)

Schedule:

• Day/Swing/Graveyard shifts, during the week or during the weekends (openings may vary based on location)
• Consistent schedule every week
• Opportunities for overtime (not mandatory)
• Weekend shift differential: +$1 per hour on Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday

Starting Pay: $16 - $18.50 per hour, DOE (Full pay scale is $16-$22)

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must pass a background check (renewed every 2 years)
• Must pass a drug test
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English (written and spoken)
