As a DSP, you’ll work one-on-one with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (ID/DD), supporting daily routines, community involvement, and personal goals in a way that is engaging, respectful, and empowering.

What You’ll Do



  • Support daily routines (cooking, cleaning, personal care with the client)

  • Help clients get into the community and stay engaged

  • Follow care plans and goals

  • Communicate with families and your team

  • Complete notes and documentation 

  • Ensure safety and well-being at all times

Current Clients Needing Additional Support


Client 1 (Hillsboro): 



  • Male | 8 yrs | 97124

  • Schedule: Start 9/1 Mon-Fri 6 am-8am and 2:15 pm-7 or 8pm Saturdays and Sunday 8 am-7 pm (flexible on the weekends)

  • Needs: Prefers a female DSP. Would like someone that has experience with children with autism and is patient and comfortable with assisting with toileting.


Client 2 (Hillsboro): 



  • Female | 6 yrs | 97124

  • Schedule: Start 9/1 Mon-Fri 6 am-8am and 2:15 pm-7 or 8pm Saturdays and Sunday 8 am-7 pm (flexible on the weekends)

  • Needs: Prefers a female DSP. Would like someone that has experience with children with autism and is patient and comfortable with assisting with toileting.


Client 3 (Hillsboro): 



  • Male | 9 yrs | 97124

  • Schedule: Looking for help after school a few days a week

  • Needs: Prefers a male DSP, that is interested in playing sports with him. Assist during meals and engaging with him. Help after the bathroom with toileting, work on communication and socialization. Knows about 30 words.


Client 4 (Hillsboro): 



  • Female | 5 yrs | 97124

  • Schedule: Monday - Thursday afternoons after 1:30 pm. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays anytime.

  • Likes: Loves Monsters University and Raya. Has a lot of energy and needs activities to keep him busy

  • Needs: Help with assisting in working on his speech and developmental needs. Needs support with regulating emotions and working towards using the toilet


Client 5 (Hillsboro): 



  • Male | 9 yrs | 97124

  • Schedule: Mon, Tues, Thurs and Fri from 2:30 or 3 until 6:30. Family can be flexible with start and end times if needed.

  • Likes: He is a strong boy who loves to play so a strong DSP who is a big kid at heart is a good match for him. He loves Sesame street and is an upbeat, happy boy.

  • Needs: Client has infrequent seziures so we would ensure you recieve the proper training to support him through those. Working on increasing his independence with toileting and hygiene after restroom use, learning to communicate his needs and wants, increasing his utensil skills during meal time, working on walking up and down stairs independently, learning to take his shoes off independently and learning to hold his toothbrush and brush his teeth


Requirements



  • 18+ years old

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 1+ year of caregiving or related experience

  • Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation

  • Smartphone required

  • Must be able to successfully pass all state-required background checks and meet all ODDS employment eligibility requirements.

  • CPR/First Aid/AED (or willing to obtain)


Pay & Benefits
