Starting Pay: $16.00 per hour, with a $3.00 per hour shift differential for direct care shifts worked on Saturdays and Sundays
Pathfinder is looking for Seasonal Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities during Summer Camp in June and July. As a DSP-Seasonal, you’ll help people build skills, enjoy camp activities, and live life to the fullest. You’ll teach daily living and communication skills, provide safe transportation, give medications, and keep clear records.
As a DSP-Seasonal at Pathfinder, You Will:
Support People at Camp
Help each person with daily tasks like eating, dressing, and moving around.
Encourage people to try new things, make choices, and learn life skills.
Get to know each person well—what they like, need, and want.
Talk clearly and kindly with the people you support and with coworkers.
Respect and protect everyone’s rights and privacy.
Keep Everyone Safe & Healthy
Give medications and follow health plans carefully.
Watch for health changes and tell your supervisor if something seems wrong.
Follow safety rules for things like fire drills and emergency situations.
Make sure transportation is safe when driving or helping people get places.
Be a Great Team Member
Go to staff meetings and trainings to learn new skills.
Work closely with others to support each person’s goals.
Help plan activities and keep things organized and on schedule.
Always be respectful, helpful, and ready to jump in when needed.
Follow Plans & Keep Good Records
Follow each person’s support plan exactly as written.
Write down daily activities, goals worked on, and how people are doing.
Help build friendships and connect people to others in the community.

Requirements
Preferred Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of a high school diploma/GED.
At least 18 years of age.
Basic language, written, and computer skills necessary for communication and documentation.
Demonstrated ability to support people with disabilities.
Ability to work a flexible schedule if needed.
Valid driver’s license, insured vehicle, and safe driving record.
Ability to speak, hear, and read the English language.
Essential physical skills: be able to run, squat, stoop/bend, kneel, climb stairs, lift up to 50 pounds, push and pull against potential resistance, and implement non-physical and approved physical interventions and CPR with people supported when needed. Adequate vision, writing, and documentation skills to perform the essential functions of the job.
