Direct Support Professional/Caregiver

Job Summary

We are actively seeking dedicated DSPs/Caregivers to provide In-Home & Community Support, Companion Services, Community Participation Support, and Respite Services. Various hours are available to meet different scheduling needs.

We have immediate needs in the following areas:

• Honesdale, PA

• Hawley, PA

• Lake Ariel, PA

• Waymart, PA

Responsibilities and Qualifications

• Promote client outcomes in behavioral, social, and vocational areas.

• Assist clients in participating in leisure and recreational activities.

• Maintain service and activity schedules as outlined in treatment plans, and report on health and safety objectives.

• Provide respite and companionship to offer relief for families or primary caregivers.

• Complete and submit documentation and payroll data according to scheduled deadlines.

• Participate in initial and ongoing training and staff development activities.

• Demonstrate competency in required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

• Work independently in community settings or the clients home.

• Address personal care needs as necessary, based on individual client requirements.

• Exhibit passion and experience in supporting individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) preferred but not required.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Valid drivers license, current automotive insurance, and reliable transportation.

• Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks.

• Lifting may be required, depending on client needs.

• CPR/First Aid Certification training provided.
